Observational drawing is drawing from Life. It is a very important type of drawing as it helps to develop a deeper consciousness and through an everyday habit a new way of seeing with new awareness. It developed new qualities of perception as well. Illustrators need to follow some rules to draw an exceptional life drawing (which is not drawn from a taken photo, but real life is better). It helps us to learn to see; cannot make the object up, as it will be unconvincing. Need to meditate on the drawing, and constantly make sure of a deep understanding of what we are drawing. Need to include specific physical attributes, and nuances (little details). Observational drawing helps to understand perspective and proportion, but we still can break the symmetry with a little bit of experiment. It helps to understand better the nature of light, and observe misfits around us; find something interesting, and unusual hence we can create a second story behind the story. Interpretation will all depend, as well, on how we are able to use values of art. Life drawing is our new glasses, which wider our imagination, and gives a better communication with our audience.
